St. Patrick's Day is the perfect time to teach little ones colors...especially green!  We have these fun bath colors and used them for a fun color mixing experiment.  We dropped a blue and a yellow on opposite sides of our bin.
We watched them slowly move together and start mixing.
Then we used a mixer and really made green.  My 5 year old loved this!

Since we had a bucket of green water we added some fun fine motor tools, rainbow foam puzzle pieces, pennies, and some black paper cups for pots of gold.

They had fun exploring and eventually decided to open a restaurant where they served "clover soup."  They came up with this on their own :)  I could order how many covers aka pennies I wanted in my soup.

It was a fun, not to messy, learning activity.
