Potato Stamping

This is one of those great craft that is a lot of fun and takes very little time to set up. Its great for any age.  Cut a potato in half, pour some paint and let them stamp away.  You can also use apples, carrots, celery, or whatever you have around.

Learning comes in many forms.  When we do preschool I really like to include craft projects.  Its a fun way to teach colors, shapes, fine motor skills, etc.  But it also gives them freedom to be creative, to think outside the box, to problem solve, and helps build confidence.  So even when the project doesn't turn out how you think it should (this was going to be a flower) its okay!  Its the process and the fun that's important.  As a bonus you end up with some pretty special masterpieces to display proudly.
