Free April Holiday Calendar

I am so sorry I just realized I never posted the April Holiday Calendar! There are still so many fun ones left and I hope you are still able to use it.  You can find the free download below.  I have loved hearing how you and your family have been using these calendars to make fun memories and the ways you've used it to bring a smile to others. You all are AMAZING!

This has been a month indeed. I'm still having internet issues and trying to catch up on all the things.  I'm working on this week's Come Follow Me lesson helps and hope to have it up tomorrow and next week's lesson helps Friday or Saturday. Sorry for the craziness and thanks for sticking with me. You all are the best!

Free Come Follow Me Lesson Helps: D&C 30-36

I'm not sure how many of you will see this in time but I wanted to get you at least one activity this week. It's our spring break and we've been so busy and our internet has been down for over a week so I knew it would not be possible to upload much when I could actually get on for the few minutes here and there.    That's what I have is one adorable activity that will help your children learn to open their mouth to share the gospel. It's a simple cut and paste activity with plenty of space to draw or write. Have a great weekend!

General Conference Activities

Good Morning! Can you believe it's Conference weekend?!?  This is such a special way to spend Easter weekend.  I wanted to give a HUGE thank you to my kind friend that generously offers her time to translate all my activities into German. I couldn't do this without her and she helped me create some of the activities in this packet.  She is truly amazing.

While I LOVE General Conference it can be a little difficult to listen when you have young kids in your home.  I am hoping this new Conference Activity pack will help you have a few minutes to listen as your children are happily entertained and maybe even listening too.  I've included 18 activities that are easy to print and play.  I also like to pull out some quiet games, puzzles, and art supplies.

In addition to this activity packet I have tons of other ideas on my website from past General Conferences or any of the Come Follow Me activities are perfect! I hope you have a wonderful Conference weekend and Happy Easter!

28 Fun and Unique Holidays to Celebrate in March

I love this free holiday calendar. March is full of fun and unique holidays that you and your family will love.  This adorable calendar is great to display and your family will love choosing some fun days to celebrate.  We love to pick a few holidays and do something simple.  My kids also love checking the calendar daily to see what the unique holiday is for that day.  This month we plan to celebrate Dr. Seuss's Birthday with a read-a-thon, make homemade oreo cookies on National Oreo cookie day, and color on National Crayon day.  I hope to fit in many more but hopefully that gives you a few ideas. I love that this gives us something to break up the routine of our week, a few minutes to pause and do something fun together.  I'd love to know what holiday you are most excited to celebrate.

The Best Pillow Fort Activities To Do This Winter

When the weather outside is frightful, it can be hard to keep the kids entertained as screen time and coloring books can only be fun for so long. However, the right indoor activities can make staying at home a blast — starting with building an epic pillow fort!

Building a pillow fort is a super fun activity that keeps your kids engaged while letting their imagination run wild. All you have to do is hunt down a few sheets, pillows and supportive furniture for you and your family to have fun four hours on end.

Check out these tips and ideas from Apartment Guide to build the ultimate pillow fort where you and your kids can spend quality time and make treasured memories!

1. Play pretend

A fort is whatever your child wants it to be, like a secret cave in the wilderness or a pirate ship setting sail to find the lost treasure. The point is to let your kids' imaginations run wild and have fun. To help them create the ambiance they’re looking for, check out these printable fort decorations to transform their fun new space.

2. Play a game

You can’t go wrong by breaking out the games like Monopoly, Battleship or Scrabble. Depending on where you assembled your fort, you could even set up a gaming console and play some video games or play some app games on a handheld device which will keep the kids occupied for hours.

3. Make crafts

Turn your pillow fort into the ultimate crafting station where you can let your children create pieces of art that can be displayed on the fridge. Try coloring, drawing or a crafting activity like these printable unicorn and puppy masks that can be cut out and worn using a string or wooden popsicle stick!

4. Watch a movie

Make some popcorn and break out the sweet treats and get ready for the ultimate movie night in your pillow fort! Make sure your fort is near a TV or set up a projector inside your fort to shine on a blank wall to make your very own movie theatre. Handheld tablets also work in smaller sized forts!

5. Host a tea party

Turn your fortress into a venue to host a lavish tea party. Dress up and make cookies and finger sandwiches to go with your fresh pot of tea. Have your kid send out these printable tea party invites to other members of your household along with matching tea and snack tags.

Whether you're cooped up indoors due to the winter weather or just looking for a fun weekend activity, pillow forts will help keep your kids entertained for hours. Keep the fun going by making their fort a personal fortress that engages them in different activities that encourage creativity, imagination and leisurely fun!
