This week we are covering D&C 63 and focusing on respect for sacred things. We will introduce this topic with this great activity in the Friend. After we have some fun zoo themed activities that will help us learn more about being reverent and respectful. I hope your primary class or family finds something they love! This week we are covering Doctrine and Covenants 60-62. There are journal pages, song posters, and a few other fun activities. I have to thank my sweet friend for creating the missionary activities for us this week. She really is so sweet to share her time and talents with us. I hope you all have had a wonderful week. I am hoping to have next weeks lesson posted on Saturday and get back to posting the weekend before...I really appreciate your patience as I've tried to navigate this busy school year :)
June is officially here, and for many of us, that means the start of summer break! Well, for us it's just around the corner, but we are already in full summer mode!
For me, summer is all about family time and making memories. But let’s be honest, it’s not always sunshine and rainbows. Somehow, the “I’m bored” starts up quickly, and screens appear more than I’d prefer.
That’s where our monthly holiday calendar comes in. It’s my way of adding a little extra creativity to our days. It gives us an idea to break the routine and spark creativity, sometimes it's a quick 5-minute activity, and other times a full-blown theme day (my favorite!).
For example, Donut Day could be as simple as picking up a box of your family’s favorite donuts and calling it a win. If we’re feeling more adventurous, we might make our own donuts at home, surprise a friend with a delivery, create donut-themed crafts, or even set up a pretend donut shop complete with pretend playdough treats.
There’s no wrong way to celebrate, just lots of opportunities to connect and make sweet memories together.
