Just a quick update that I have been very busy this last week and these activities will be a little late...but are coming! Sorry for any inconvenience. 

Free Come Follow Me Lesson Helps Doctrine & Covenants 98-101

This week as we study D&C 98-101 I decided to focus on the peace that Jesus Christ brings during trials and hard times.  I am hoping some of these activities will help us ponder how we feel peace through Christ. As always these activities are free for you to use with your family or primary class.  You can find them in the download below.

Come Follow Me D&C 94-97

This week we are covering Doctrine and Covenants 94-97. We will be talking about temple and blessings. In D&C 97 blessings are compared to fruitful tree, so you will find some cute fruit themed activities. I loved the story in the Come Follow Me manual of Hyrum running to begin work on the temple. I included story cards to help you share it with your little ones. Finally we have a temple puzzle or craft. It looks like some strips of paper but each line has words from President Nelson about the temple. We plan to glue the paper to a larger sheet of paper and add details to turn it into a special piece of art. 

A few additional ideas for temples would be to build one out of legos or sugar cubes (idea from The Friend), or you can draw or paint your own picture. I also found this free coloring page of the Kirtland temple. Don't forget you can always use the search bar for additional ideas on any topic you are teaching.

Free Come Follow Me D&C 93

I almost didn't post this because it is so late in the week but I loved this message from Doctrine and Covenants 93 so much I had to share! I'll be honest this week was busy and the ideas were not coming. I loved reading and learning as I studied this chapter but I was stumped. I almost skipped this week but as I was listening to a podcast this week one of the hosts shared the story found in this video about flecks of gold. He used it to describe how we gain knowledge and our testimony little by little. I thought about  this concept all week and I decided that is what I wanted to teach my children. This chapter is full of beautiful doctrine including the verses that teach us about "grace by grace." I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I'll post in soon with next weeks activities!

Free Doctrine and Covenants 89-92 Come Follow Me Lesson Helps

This week for Come Follow me I decided to focus these free activities on section 89 and the Word of Wisdom. We are going to talk about Heavenly Father wants us to be healthy because he loves us and ways that we can be healthy. Included in the free download is a retelling story board, journal/drawing activity, a week long bingo challenge, and a fun healthy food grocery shopping themed game.

Free Come Follow Me Activities for D&C 85-87

 

I have all new activities for you this week and going forward while we finish the Doctrine and Covenants this year! This week we are coving Doctrine and Covenants section 85-87. There are several activities that go with the themes "I can Stand in Holy Places" and "I Can help Gather others to Jesus Christ." We also will be discussing the parable of the wheat and the tares.
