This week we are learning about service and prayer as we study Doctrine and Covenants 81-83. This week the activities are separated by topic in two different downloads. My friend Cornelia helped me out again this week by creating some activities and I finally finished mine :) Just to save time I didn't combine them like I normally do. I'm having trouble with my hand and arm and need to limit my time on the computer significantly to keep the pain manageable. I hope to be feeling better soon and will do my best over the next few weeks to continue posting as I heal. This week we are talking about bishops and effort! I think your kids will love the mystery person hunt and in the process will learn why the Lord calls bishops. We are also going to learn a little more about effort using the quote from President Nelson. It's one of my favorite and something we try to remind our kids (and ourselves) often. I hope you have a wonderful 4th of July weekend and stay safe.
I think my life is finally slowing down for a few weeks so I'll be trying really hard to get these lesson helps out a lot earlier in the week. Thanks for sticking with me :)

June is officially here, and for many of us, that means the start of summer break! Well, for us it's just around the corner, but we are already in full summer mode!
For me, summer is all about family time and making memories. But let’s be honest, it’s not always sunshine and rainbows. Somehow, the “I’m bored” starts up quickly, and screens appear more than I’d prefer.
That’s where our monthly holiday calendar comes in. It’s my way of adding a little extra creativity to our days. It gives us an idea to break the routine and spark creativity, sometimes it's a quick 5-minute activity, and other times a full-blown theme day (my favorite!).
For example, Donut Day could be as simple as picking up a box of your family’s favorite donuts and calling it a win. If we’re feeling more adventurous, we might make our own donuts at home, surprise a friend with a delivery, create donut-themed crafts, or even set up a pretend donut shop complete with pretend playdough treats.
There’s no wrong way to celebrate, just lots of opportunities to connect and make sweet memories together.

This week we are covering Doctrine and Covenants sections 18 and 19. We are focusing on D&C 18:10 and talking about the "worth of souls." We have some fun activities that help remind us that we all are very special to Heavenly Father and how this should influence how we treat and think of others and ourselves. We have self portraits, love notes, and even some adorable fairy tale characters showing up in our activities this week.
