31 Unique and Fun Holidays Celebrate in May 2025

It’s May!
If you have kids in school, you know this is one of the busiest months of the year—it definitely is for our family. Between field trips, sports, recitals, and everything in between, the days can fly by in a blur.

That’s exactly why I created this monthly holiday calendar—not to add more to your already full plate, but to help you pause and create small, meaningful moments with your family. Use it as a fun conversation starter, a jumping-off point for activities and celebrations, or maybe even inspiration to start new family traditions.

One of our favorites? Star Wars Day! We love to go all out with a themed dinner, games, and of course, a movie night. (You can find some fun Star Wars Day printables here).

As a mom, I personally love National Clean Your Room Day—no surprise there—but my kids are definitely more excited about World Baking Day.

What holidays are you looking forward to in May?
